WAITOMO GLOWWORM CAVES
Waitomo Glowworm Caves were formed over 30 million years ago - a spellbinding natural attraction that has fascinated visitors for over 100 years. The cave entrance and upper level are dry and include two chambers known as the Catacombs and the Organ Loft, featuring awesome limestone formations. The lower level includes the vast Cathedral chamber, whose outstanding acoustics have been acknowledged by international opera stars such as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and a boat ride through the wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto.

ARANUI CAVE
Aranui Cave is the smallest, and many say the loveliest, of the three Waitomo caves open to the public. It is probably without equal in the world for the intricacy of its limestone formations. Nature's stunning architecture of white, pink and pale brown stalactites and stalagmites is a must-see for domestic and international visitors alike.
