Grant Webster
Chief Executive Officer
Grant has been with thl for over five years starting as Chief Operating Officer leading the Attractions and Leisure division of the company until commencing in the role of Chief Executive Officer in December 2008.
Grant has been in senior executive roles across the tourism, hospitality, gaming and retail industries. Prior to thl Grant was a General Manager at SKYCITY Auckland. Grant started his career in retail and held director and general management roles within the supermarket sector before moving into tourism.
As part of his roles in thl Grant has been a director of various business interests including the Milford Sound Development Authority, Johnston's Coachlines Limited and Intercity Holdings Limited until the sale of those business interests.
Ian Lewington
Chief Financial Officer
Ian leads the finance function for thl, including reporting to the Board of Directors, external reporting, internal and external auditing, investor relations and banking relationships. He also fulfils the New Zealand Stock Exchange requirements of thl as a listed entity. Prior to joining thl in 1999, Ian spent 13 years in financial management roles for Fletcher Challenge. Ian holds a Master of Commerce (Hons) degree from Auckland University and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Quinton Hall
Chief Information Officer
Quinton heads up information technology, the interactive team, the project management office, group procurement, group property and human resources. He is also responsible for the Waitomo Group, Kiwi Experience, Feejee Experience and Tourist Transport Fiji operations. Quinton joined thl in September 2006 from NZ Lotteries and has a background in risk management, project management and technology delivery supporting strategic initiatives.
Sue Sullivan
General Manager Sales
Sue joined thl with a focus on international sales and marketing before holding operational roles in both Australia and New Zealand. Having assumed the role of General Manager thl Rentals New Zealand for five years, Sue was appointed as General Manager of The Ex Group in 2007 and was responsible for growing the youth and adventure market under the brands; Explore More, Feejee Experience, Kiwi Experience and Tourist Transport Fiji.
November 2009, Sue’s role changed from General Manager Sales & Marketing to General Manager Sales. Sue’s focus is on thl sales functions and is responsible for maintaining relationships with key industry bodies in New Zealand and Australia.
Sue also sits on the board of the Tourism Industry Association and the NZ Backpack.com group.
Damien Shaw
General Manager Australian Rentals Operations
Joining thl in 2001 Damien is responsible for the rentals business of Maui, Britz and Backpacker brands in Australia. Prior to joining thl Damien had spent time in a variety of tourism roles the last being at Budget Rent A Car. Damien has held fleet operations and national operations roles with thl Rentals Australia and was appointed to his current role in December 2008. Damien holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Finance and an MBA from AGSM in Sydney.
Michael Lim Chong
General Manager New Zealand Rentals Operations
Michael is responsible for the New Zealand Rental Operations of Maui, Britz, Backpacker, and Explore More; focused on leading a dynamic motorhome and car rental operation that maximises the customer experience. Joining thl in 1992, Michael has held several senior positions within thl both in New Zealand and Australia. Previously Michael held the role of Financial Controller Rentals New Zealand, before commencing the role of General Manager. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Kate Meldrum
General Manager Marketing & Customer Experience
Kate joined thl in 1991 in the Sales and Marketing team as Account Manager for North America. She left in 1996 and held several part-time and contract marketing roles whilst raising a family before rejoining the company again in 2003 as Sales & Marketing Manager for New Zealand.
Kate commenced her current role as General Manager Marketing & Customer Experience in November 2009 with overall responsibility for the positioning, development and promotion of the thl brands both domestically and internationally. Kate holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Auckland University.
